1 of 50-Sunrise Walk on my Birthday

Checked off my first 50 for 50 by taking a walk on the beach on Anna Maria Island. In 50 years, I have never been to the beach on my birthday, so this was a real treat. I decided to up the challenge with a cold plunge in the ocean after our walk, it was 44 degrees!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating the New Year, and all of my kiddos (except one) were able to join in on the fun. My grandson came with us as well, which is always extra special.

On my birthday, New Year’s Eve, we went to the Mote Marine Aquarium, which is just stunning. My brother’s girlfriend gave us the VIP tour, and we all loved it so much. We had lunch at Georgie’s, then went back for golf cart rides on the island and a New Year’s Eve party at home with my favorite, carrot cake.

I am excited for what’s to come this year, focused on health and being the best I can be in my 50s. One down, 49 to go!
